We are seeking a motivated Legal Assistant Intern to join an established legal practice in Melbourne.

This opportunity is ideal for a Law or Legal Studies student/recent graduate looking to gain practical Australian legal experience and develop their skills in legal administration, research, documentation and client support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and organising legal documents and correspondence
• Conduct basic legal and case-related research
• Support lawyers with file and matter management
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Assist with drafting letters, forms and general correspondence
• Coordinate appointments and maintain case files
• Assist with administrative tasks related to active legal matters
• Gain exposure to different areas of Australian legal practice
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling client information

Skills & Requirements

• Currently studying or recently completed Law, Legal Studies or a related qualification
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Good research and administrative skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Confident using Microsoft Office
• Professional approach when handling confidential information
• Interest in developing practical knowledge of the Australian legal environment

Previous legal experience is advantageous but not essential.
