This internship provides exposure to the creative and commercial side of fashion, allowing you to work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real projects, from design development through to production and marketing.
ABOUT THE POSITION We are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented Fashion Design Intern who is passionate about fashion and looking to build a career in the industry.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with the development of new fashion designs and collections.
- Researching current fashion trends, colours, fabrics, and market trends.
- Creating mood boards, design concepts, and fashion presentations.
- Supporting the development and refinement of garments and product designs.
- Assisting with fabric, material, and trim selection.
- Preparing sketches, design specifications, and technical documentation.
- Supporting sample development and reviewing garments for fit, quality, and design.
- Assisting with product development and communication with suppliers.
- Supporting the preparation of fashion and marketing materials.
- Collaborating with the wider team on creative and commercial projects.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, or a related discipline.
- Strong creative and visual skills.
- Passion for fashion, design, and current industry trends.
- Good understanding of fabrics, garments, colours, and materials.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar design software is highly regarded.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
