 Have you recently completed a qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business, or a related discipline?
This is an excellent opportunity to gain 12 months of paid Australian accounting experience while working alongside experienced finance professionals. Whether your goal is to become an Assistant Accountant, Financial Accountant, Tax Accountant, Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, or CPA/CA-qualified professional, this internship will provide the hands-on experience employers value.

Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Accountant Graduate Intern, you may assist with:

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Performing bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Preparing journals and month-end adjustments
• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Supporting BAS, GST and payroll processing
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Preparing management reports and financial analysis
• Supporting external audits and compliance activities
• Using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or Microsoft Dynamics
• Analysing financial data and identifying process improvement opportunities
• Assisting with ad hoc finance and administrative projects

Eligibility Applicants should have:

• A Bachelor or Master’s degree (completed or nearing completion) in:
  • Accounting
  • Commerce
  • Finance
  • Business
  • Economics
  • Or a related discipline
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Exposure to accounting software such as Xero or MYOB will be advantageous
• Full-time work rights in Australia

Internship Facilitation Fee
This opportunity is offered through STUDY AND WORK’s Paid Professional Internship Program.
Upon successfully securing the internship, participants are required to pay an Internship Facilitation Fee equivalent to 10% of the annual salary package.
To make the program affordable, the fee is payable in monthly instalments of $1,100, commencing after you start your internship.
The facilitation fee covers:

• Career coaching and interview preparation
• Resume and interview support
• Internship administration and onboarding
• Training plan and program management
