- Producing engineering calculations, technical documentation and design packages.
- Developing power distribution, control and instrumentation solutions.
- Reviewing vendor documentation and technical submissions.
- Managing procurement activities and supporting equipment selection.
- Coordinating engineering interfaces across mechanical, civil and automation disciplines.
- Providing technical leadership during construction, installation and commissioning.
- Supporting equipment testing, quality inspections and operational handover.
- Managing engineering changes while ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

- Experience producing engineering documentation including drawings, specifications and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and industrial safety requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software.
Highly Regarded Experience
Applications will be viewed favourably from engineers with experience in one or more of the following:
- Underground mining operations.
- Coal or metalliferous mining projects.
- PLC, HMI or SCADA systems.
- Hazardous area electrical installations.
- Packaged electrical buildings or modular infrastructure.
- Functional safety or industrial automation.
- Professional engineering registration (CPEng, NER, RPEQ or equivalent).
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Join a respected engineering business with a strong project pipeline.
- Work on technically challenging mining and industrial infrastructure projects.
- Enjoy genuine project ownership from design through commissioning.
- Collaborate with highly experienced engineering professionals.
- Long-term career development within a growing engineering environment.
- Competitive remuneration package based on experience.
Travel
This position includes occasional travel to supplier facilities and operating mine sites for inspections, commissioning activities and project support. Travel is expected to represent approximately 20-30% of the role depending on project requirements.
