ABOUT POSITION:
We’re looking for a System Calibration & SAT Intern.
Our host company offers meaningful work experience, strong supervision, supportive work environment, and is planning to offer permanent employment for the suitable candidate.
You must be able to work at least 3 days per week.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Working directly alongside experienced Field Service Engineers, this role assists with the commissioning of roadside ITS systems. Operating from the office you will calibrate and tune newly installed roadside ITS equipment. You will optimise camera focus, illumination, and exposure parameters to guarantee high-resolution vehicle capture across variable environmental conditions. Then you will review live traffic data captures, execute system diagnostic routines, and compile formal Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) handover packages required for client sign-off and legal enforcement compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Optical Systems Tuning: Assist with focal adjustments on roadside camera infrastructure.
Image Quality Optimisation: Perform real-time image diagnostic checks to fine-tune contrast, shutter speed, and dynamic range for day and night operation.
Incident Data Validation: Audit incident data to verify 100% capture accuracy across multiple consecutive vehicle events per lane.
Security & Access Control Auditing: Validate system security protocols by verifying Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), user permission tiers, and logs.
Back-Office Data Integrity: Cross-check timestamps, and metadata with images and videos to ensure data integrity.
INNOVATION PROJECT:SMART FIELD CONFIGURATION TOOLING
Utilise Google Workspace apps and Gemini to:
develop scripts or parameter calculators that streamline setting selection and reduce the time required to calibrate optical sensors
package all required documentation for each site, and auto-generate client-ready Site Acceptance Testing reports, significantly accelerating delivery timelines.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Target Education: Bachelor’s degree (in progress or recently completed) in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mechatronics Engineering, Systems Engineering, IoT / Computer Systems, or Applied Physics.
Key Skills & Interests: Business analytics, Computer vision, optical tuning, software testing methodologies, and data hygiene.
