Job Title: Solution Architect (Proposal & Delivery Focus) - Sydney location
Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Solution Architect (must have minimum 5 years of experience) who can translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, develop compelling proposals, and drive end-to-end delivery when supported by the appropriate resources and infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of pre-sales, architecture design, and execution governance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Architecture
Design end-to-end application architectures (web, mobile, enterprise systems, cloud-native solutions).
Define technical stacks, integration patterns, data flows, and system dependencies.
Ensure solutions align with scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization principles.
Produce architecture artifacts: HLDs, LLDs, diagrams, and technical specifications.
2. Proposal Development (Pre-Sales)
Lead RFP/RFI/RFQ responses across diverse application domains.
Convert business problems into structured solution proposals including:
Scope definition
Architecture approach
Resource planning
Cost estimation
Delivery timelines
Collaborate with sales and stakeholders to create winning proposals and presentations.
3. Delivery Ownership
Take accountability for successful project delivery once approved.
Define and oversee implementation strategy, milestones, and governance model.
Ensure alignment between architecture and execution teams.
Manage technical risks, dependencies, and escalations.
4. Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal teams.
Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly communication.
Conduct solution walkthroughs, demos, and design reviews.
5. Technology Leadership
Provide guidance on modern technologies (Cloud, APIs, Microservices, DevOps, AI/Automation).
Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and frameworks.
Mentor engineering teams and ensure design consistency.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years in solution architecture / technical leadership roles
Proven experience in:
Application architecture (enterprise / SaaS / cloud-based systems)
Proposal writing and cost estimation
End-to-end project delivery
Strong knowledge of:
Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Microservices, APIs, system integration
DevOps pipelines and CI/CD
Experience with multiple technology stacks (Java, .NET, Node.js, Python, etc.)
Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

Commercial awareness: costing, margins, and feasibility
Ability to work across multiple domains and industries
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related field
Certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure) or Architecture frameworks (TOGAF)
Experience working in consulting or system integrator environments
