Assistant Accountant Opportunity - Hospitality Sector (Sydney CBD)

We are currently partnering with a well-established international hotel group with a strong presence across Australia and globally. Known for delivering premium guest experiences and operating multiple high-performing properties, they are continuing to expand their finance team in Sydney CBD.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations across multiple hotel entities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within the hospitality industry and gain exposure to a multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with BAS preparation and compliance reporting
• Analyse financial data and contribute to management reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
• Working towards or intending to commence CA / CPA qualification
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience with accounting systems
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Must have full working rights in Australia
