ABOUT POSITION:
We’re looking for an IT Support Intern.
Our host company offers meaningful work experience, strong supervision, supportive work environment, and is planning to offer permanent employment for the suitable candidate.
ABOUT YOU: You must:
be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate/skilled migrant.
have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job.
be committed to a career in your field of study.
be able to work at least 3 days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide first-level technical support to staff via phone, email, remote access, and in person.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Assist in setting up user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups.
Support in troubleshooting internet, LAN/WAN connectivity, and VPN configurations.
Document issues, solutions, and updates in IT support logs.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of all tickets.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and report requirements for repairs or replacements.
Provide support during system rollouts, upgrades, and new technology implementations.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
Good time-management and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with ticketing systems (preferred but not mandatory).
