ABOUT POSITION:

• We’re looking for a Structural Engineer Intern.
• Our host company offers meaningful work experience, strong supervision, supportive work environment, and is planning to offer permanent employment for the suitable candidate.

ABOUT YOU:
You must:

• be studying a relevant degree qualification or a recent graduate.
• have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• have the necessary technical and soft skills to perform the job.
• be committed to a career in your field of study.
• be able to work at least 3 days per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Perform structural analysis, modelling, and design of building structures
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, reports, and technical documentation
• Liaise with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Conduct site inspections and structural assessments
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and relevant building codes
• Support project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessment

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (compulsory)
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (compulsory)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficiency in design software such as ETABS, STAAD.Pro, Revit, AutoCAD
• Sound knowledge of local codes and standards
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• [Chartered or working towards CPEng is a plus]

DESIRABLE:

• Experience in high-rise, infrastructure, or industrial projects
• Exposure to sustainable or green design practices

LOCATION:
The host company is located at Melbourne.
