Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join one of our host companies in Melbourne, VIC, for a 12-week unpaid internship. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to gain practical experience in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting within a reputable company. The internship will provide exposure to various aspects of accounting, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance, while collaborating with experienced professionals. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support the bookkeeping process, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Collaborate with the finance team to conduct audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and maintain financial documentation and records.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
- Conduct data analysis and assist in budget preparation.
- Utilize accounting software for financial reporting and analysis tasks.
Qualifications: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and tools (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks).
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant field of study (e.g., Accounting, Finance, or related areas).
