As an Assistant Accountant Intern, you will be working within the finance departments of medium to large companies or in reputable accounting firms under the supervision of highly experienced and qualified accountants who will support and train you on the job.

ABOUT POSITION
Your position may have responsibility for the following:

• Complete income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and super funds within the assigned deadline and productivity target.
• Identify if the client has complied with the superannuation guarantee.
• Preparation of annual payroll tax reconciliations.
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Preparation of Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) returns including the calculation of liability from the information provided by the client.
• Ledger Entry and Book-keeping
• Preparation of Income and Expenditure Reports, Profit and Loss Statements and Trial Balances
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

We’re looking for motivated individuals who have the following:

• No prior experience required – just the drive to learn and grow.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn from senior staff.
• Availability to work at least 3 days per week.
