Our client, a specialist surgical practice based in Hawthorn is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join their team on a temp to perm basis -  not keen on perm,  work for four weeks in a temp capacity. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Meeting and greeting at front desk 
• Coordinating theatre lists/liaising with hospitals and anaesthetists
• Ensuring patients are ready for surgery and admissions.
• Processing patient accounts, payments and receipting
• Eclipse/Health Funds Billings
• Assisting receptionist with answering patient calls, diary management, medicare billings.
• Use of Gentu and Heidi

What you’ll bring:

• 2 years plus experience in medical secretary in surgical rooms.
• Experience with Gentu/Eclipse is required. 
• Strong communication skills with a genuine patient-first approach
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Confidence managing appointments, patient enquiries and correspondence
• An empathetic and caring nature with a patient first approach.
• Confidence working independently
