Mechanical Engineer – HVAC | Full-Time Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong HVAC and building services expertise to join a growing team delivering high‑quality heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions across residential, commercial and industrial projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, technical support, commissioning and optimisation of mechanical systems. You’ll work closely with project managers, technicians and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to Australian standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC and mechanical systems for a range of project types.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Perform load calculations, equipment sizing and system selection.
• Support installation, commissioning and testing activities on-site.
• Conduct inspections and provide technical advice to clients and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, codes and regulations.
• Identify energy‑efficient solutions and system optimisation opportunities.
• Assist with cost estimates, tenders and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and maintain accurate records.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related).
• 3+ years’ experience in HVAC or building services.
• Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and Australian standards.
• Proficiency with engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit or similar).
• Experience with load calculation or modelling tools.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Driver’s licence for site visits.

Desirable:

• Experience in energy modelling or sustainable design.
• Knowledge of BMS systems.
• Project management or site supervision experience.
• Membership or eligibility for Engineers Australia.
