Business Architect – Federal Government | Canberra | Contract

We’re looking for an experienced Business Architect to support a major Federal Government program, helping shape enterprise and business architecture to enable strategic transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve enterprise and business architecture
• Analyse business processes, data, technology and organisational structures
• Create architecture models, blueprints, roadmaps and intent maps
• Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, principles and strategy
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders, program managers and ICT teams
• Assess risks, support governance and contribute to capability design
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies
• Provide mentoring, knowledge transfer and maintain compliant records

Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks
• Ability to translate business needs into effective technology solutions
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
• Experience designing infrastructure/solution architecture across cloud, data centres and hybrid environments
• Ability to identify innovations and develop implementation strategies
• Strong communication, independence and ability to work in fast‑paced environments
