Infrastructure Engineer – Federal Government Contract
Location: ACT | Contract: 3 years | Clearance: NV1
Commencing: July 2026
Join a major Federal Government program and help build, manage and optimise the cloud and infrastructure platforms that support critical digital services. We’re seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong Azure, IaC and automation skills.
Key responsibilities:

• Implement, manage and optimise Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Build platform components using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform) and Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
• Design and manage secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated compliance checks.
• Configure and enhance Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, VPN).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve ICT solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Produce system design documentation and ensure compliance with government standards.
• Support planning, configuration management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Share knowledge across the team and maintain compliant record keeping.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience as a Cloud, Platform or Infrastructure Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency across Azure compute, storage, networking and security.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, pipelines, Bicep/Terraform and automation.
• Solid networking and cloud security knowledge.
• Background as a .NET Developer or experience with Kubernetes/App Services (advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation.
