A family-run cattle operation near Muttaburra is seeking a capable Station Hand to join the team for the remainder of 2026 and ideally continue throughout 2027.
This is a hands-on role covering all aspects of station work. Applicants must have previous cattle experience, be competent on a two-wheel motorbike and be willing to help wherever required.
The property runs Santa Gertrudis breeders and grows cattle through to feeder weight. Low-stress stock handling practices are used, so a calm and confident approach to livestock is important.
The Role Will Include
Mustering cattle on a two-wheel motorbike
Drafting, branding and general cattle processing
Checking waters and starting pumps
Finding and repairing water leaks
Fencing and general maintenance
Feeding livestock when required
Operating tractors and other machinery
Working independently and alongside the family
Mechanical ability, welding skills and grader or dozer experience would be beneficial but are not essential.
About You
Previous cattle and livestock experience
Competent operating a two-wheel motorbike
Current manual driver’s licence
Calm and sensible around livestock
Reliable, self-motivated and willing to assist with all aspects of the operation
Able to follow instructions and work independently
Clean and respectful living habits
