We're working with a family-owned and operated cropping business near Talwood, Queensland. This is a well-established operation with everything done in-house, offering long-term opportunity for the right people.
We're looking to bring on a reliable, capable, Experienced Farm Hand who takes pride in their work.
The Role
You'll be involved across the full cycle of grain, cotton and pulse production, working across both dryland and flood irrigation country.
From start to finish, this includes:
- Ground preparation and planting
- Spraying and crop management throughout the season
- Flood irrigation and water management, including starting and managing syphons
- Harvest operations including cotton picking and header work
- Post-harvest work including mulching and paddock prep
Alongside this, you'll also be operating:
- Cotton pickers
- Modern headers
- John Deere sprayers
- Excavators and laser bucket equipment
This is a hands-on role where you'll gain exposure to the full operation, not just one part of it.
You'll be working within a team of 12, with a core crew of 6-7 year-round, so being a
team player is essential.
The Gear - Modern John Deere fleet
- John Deere headers and sprayers
- Excavators and laser bucket setup
- Well-maintained, quality equipment across the board
Everything is done in-house, giving you variety and consistency in your work.

The Location Based out towards Talwood, you'll be part of a strong rural community. It's a well-known cropping region with a mix of irrigation and dryland farming, and easy access to Goondiwindi and surrounding hubs.
What They're Looking For - Previous machinery or farm experience preferred
- Must be a team player and able to work well within a crew
- Clean and tidy habits
- Someone who can be trusted on a large-scale operation
- Willingness to get in and have a go across all areas
- Workshop / maintenance ability
