Lead a High-Performance Livestock Team | Full-Time 

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Feedlot Manager to lead livestock operations at their well-established feedlot near Emerald, Queensland. This is a senior leadership role focused on people management, livestock care, and operational performance.

About the Role:
The Feedlot Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of livestock operations – from cattle intake and pen allocation to health monitoring and dispatch. Working closely with veterinary advisors and senior management, you’ll ensure daily tasks run efficiently and animals are cared for to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee intake, movement, and pen placement of cattle
• Ensure animals are healthy, correctly treated, and monitored daily
• Supervise induction, dispatch, and hospital operations
• Support and mentor staff in livestock handling and welfare procedures
• Manage team scheduling, development, and on-site leadership
• Maintain safe and tidy working environments, yards, and equipment
• Lead WHS compliance, reporting, and livestock record keeping
• Coordinate with vets and suppliers to manage treatments and inventory
• Assist with livestock planning and operational reporting

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in feedlot or intensive cattle operations
• Strong team leadership and mentoring ability
• Practical knowledge of livestock health, treatments, and welfare
• Solid planning and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with record keeping and basic digital systems
• Reliable, organised, and safety-conscious
• Confident communicator with a can-do attitude
• Current driver’s licence
