About The Role
Axia Beauty Group is seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate to join our Compliance team. This role ensures Axia Beauty Group's personal care and cosmetic products meet all relevant regulatory requirements across Australia and New Zealand. Working closely with Product, R&D, Brand, Quality and Supply Chain teams, you will provide expert regulatory guidance to support product development, market entry and ongoing compliance.
This is an exciting opportunity for a regulatory professional with strong cosmetics and personal care experience to contribute to a growing and innovative beauty portfolio.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory compliance activities for personal care and cosmetic products across ANZ, ensuring adherence to AICIS and relevant local regulations.
- Conduct formulation, ingredient, label and claims reviews to support compliant product development and successful product launches.
- Prepare, review and maintain regulatory documentation, including Product Information Files (PIFs), Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and ingredient records.
- Partner with Product, R&D, Brand, Quality and Supply Chain teams to provide regulatory advice and ensure compliance requirements are integrated into business initiatives.
- Monitor regulatory changes, assess business impacts and recommend actions to mitigate compliance risks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, regulatory intelligence activities and mentorship of team members to enhance regulatory capability across the business.
Skills & Experience - Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Regulatory Affairs within the personal care, cosmetics or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of ANZ regulatory requirements, including AICIS, product labelling, ingredient compliance and claims substantiation.
- Experience preparing and managing regulatory documentation such as PIFs, SDSs, ingredient records and compliance dossiers.
- Familiarity with international cosmetic and personal care regulations, particularly within the US and European markets.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
