About The Role We are seeking an experienced
AP/AR Team Leader to lead and coordinate the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function within our Shared Services team.
Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of transactional finance activities while providing leadership, coaching, and operational support to the AP/AR team.
Role & Responsibilities - Lead and oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and service delivery standards are achieved.
- Monitor workloads, ageing reports, reconciliations, exceptions, and high-risk transactions, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance support to AP/AR team members while acting as the primary escalation point for transactional issues.
- Develop, maintain, and implement SOPs, work instructions, and training materials to drive consistency and capability across teams.
- Support ERP system enhancements, integrations, testing activities, and process improvement initiatives in partnership with Finance and IT stakeholders.
- Act as the 2IC to the Shared Services Manager, providing operational leadership, continuity, and support across the Shared Services function.
Skills & Experience - Proven experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations within a high-volume shared services or transactional finance environment.
- Previous leadership experience as a Team Leader or Senior AP/AR professional with responsibility for coaching and developing team members.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end AP, AR, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems and contributing to system enhancements, integrations, UAT, or process improvement projects.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process inefficiencies, implement improvements, and drive standardisation across teams and workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with a strong focus on financial controls, compliance, and service quality.
