About the Role
The Medical Manager, Innovative Medicines is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Medical Affairs activities across Australia and New Zealand for assigned innovative medicine brands. Working closely with the Medical Director, this role provides scientific, clinical, and operational expertise across the product lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery of evidence generation, scientific engagement, and medical governance activities.
Acting as a key link between science and strategy, you will partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access, and Field Medical teams to support product launches and optimise lifecycle management. You will play an important role in translating complex clinical data into clear, actionable medical insights that inform decision-making and enhance patient outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of brand-level Medical Affairs plans, translating clinical data into clear strategies across launch and lifecycle activities.
- Contribute to evidence generation initiatives, including real-world evidence (RWE), investigator-initiated studies (IIS), and publication planning.
- Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and Field Medical teams to ensure aligned, insight-driven execution.
- Provide medical review and input into materials and activities, ensuring scientific accuracy, integrity, and alignment to brand strategy.
- Ensure compliance with medical governance standards, including regulatory requirements, industry codes, and pharmacovigilance processes.
- Maintain up-to-date therapeutic knowledge and contribute to continuous learning and development within a dynamic, innovation-led environment.
- Support a safe and compliant workplace by adhering to health, safety, and organisational policies and procedures.
Skills & Requirements - 5–8 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including 3+ years in Medical Affairs roles (e.g. Medical Advisor, Senior Medical Advisor, MSL), with a strong track record of cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access.
- Strong scientific and clinical expertise, with a deep understanding of disease areas, treatment landscapes, and the application of data to support product launches and lifecycle management.
- Experience in scientific engagement and evidence generation, including working with healthcare professionals and KOLs, and supporting RWE, IIS, and publication planning activities.
- Solid understanding of medical governance, compliance, and pharmacovigilance requirements within a highly regulated environment.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific data into clear insights for diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational, project management, and digital capabilities, including experience with systems such as Veeva CRM, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
