About the Role
The HEOR Manager plays a critical role in shaping and executing health economics and outcomes research strategies across Australia and New Zealand, supporting market access and reimbursement for the pharmaceutical portfolio. This role is responsible for generating robust economic evidence and real-world data to clearly demonstrate product value to key stakeholders, including PBS/PBAC in Australia and PHARMAC in New Zealand.
Working at the intersection of science, data, and access, you will partner closely with Pricing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to deliver high-quality submissions and evidence strategies aligned to product launches and lifecycle management. You will apply strong analytical and economic modelling expertise to translate complex clinical and economic data into clear, compelling value propositions.

Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end-to-end HEOR strategies aligned to product launches and lifecycle management, supporting PBS/PBAC and PHARMAC reimbursement outcomes.
- Design and deliver robust economic models (e.g. cost-effectiveness, budget impact), leveraging local ANZ data and real-world evidence to demonstrate product value.
- Lead evidence generation initiatives, including real-world evidence studies, registries, and outcomes research to address data gaps and strengthen HTA submissions.
- Provide expert HEOR input into reimbursement submissions and pricing strategies, developing high-quality value dossiers and supporting payer negotiations.
- Partner cross-functionally with Pricing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to integrate economic evidence into brand and access strategies.
- Translate complex health economic data into clear, compelling insights for payers, policymakers, and internal stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Monitor evolving HEOR methodologies and ANZ reimbursement landscapes, ensuring best-in-class, compliant approaches aligned to global standards.
Skills & Requirements - Strong HEOR expertise, including economic modelling (cost-effectiveness, budget impact) and application of HTA methodologies aligned to PBS/PBAC and PHARMAC requirements.
- Proven experience generating real-world evidence (RWE), utilising Australian and New Zealand datasets to support reimbursement and value demonstration.
- Advanced analytical capability, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, R, or TreeAge to develop, validate, and adapt economic models.
- In-depth knowledge of ANZ reimbursement pathways, including PBAC guidelines, PHARMAC processes, PBS pricing frameworks, and hospital formulary systems.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and contributing to high-quality reimbursement submissions, including PBS/PBAC and PHARMAC dossiers with successful outcomes.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, partnering with Pricing, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to support launch and lifecycle strategies.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex economic data into clear, compelling value propositions for payers and stakeholders.
- Proven stakeholder engagement experience, building relationships with payers, policymakers, and external experts within a highly regulated environment.
- Solid project management and operational capability, including managing CROs, timelines, budgets, and evidence generation deliverables.
- Relevant experience in HEOR, health economics, or market access within a pharmaceutical or biotech environment, with strong exposure to ANZ markets.
- Advanced degree required (e.g. Master’s or PhD in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, Public Health, or similar), with HEOR certification (e.g. ISPOR) advantageous.
