About the Role
We are hiring across multiple General Manager roles within key therapeutic areas, including General Medicines, Specialty, and Immunology. Each role plays a key enterprise leadership position, overseeing commercial strategy, performance, and capability development across the assigned therapeutic area for Australia and New Zealand. The role is responsible for shaping strategic direction, defining portfolio priorities, and ensuring strong cross-functional alignment to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
Lead integrated therapeutic area strategy across ANZ, driving portfolio performance and sustainable growth. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Pricing, Regulatory Affairs, and Finance to deliver aligned commercial execution.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity suited to experienced commercial leaders who bring strong enterprise leadership and commercial acumen and are motivated to drive growth while supporting both commercial objectives and our commitment to being Defined by Good.
Role and Responsibilities
- Full strategic and financial accountability for the therapeutic area, including revenue delivery, commercial prioritisation, pricing direction and portfolio performance across Australia and New Zealand.
- Leadership, coaching and performance management of the Commercial Lead, ensuring operational excellence, effective planning and disciplined execution.
- Development and ownership of long‑term commercial strategies that integrate forecasting, market access milestones, portfolio optimisation and investment planning.
- Oversight of financial performance, including reviewing KPIs, identifying variances and implementing actions to protect profitability and long‑term value.
- Governance and oversight of compliant multichannel marketing activities aligned with the Medicines Australia Code, TGA regulations and internal standards.
- Strategic leadership of KOL engagement frameworks, advisory boards and scientific exchange to drive advocacy and support clinical adoption.
- Direction of competitive intelligence, market landscape analysis and value proposition refinement to strengthen therapeutic area positioning.
- Leadership of cross‑functional engagement with payers, hospitals and market access partners to support formulary listings, tender outcomes and reimbursement strategies.
Skills and Experience - Extensive leadership experience overseeing commercial strategy, portfolio optimisation, product launches and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high‑performing commercial teams, ideally including direct management of commercial or sales leaders.
- Deep experience in compliant multichannel marketing, KOL engagement and promotional activity aligned with Medicines Australia Code and TGA frameworks.
- Strong understanding of PBS/PBAC processes, tender strategy, pricing models and reimbursement environments across ANZ.
- Advanced analytical capability with experience leading teams that use CRM systems, forecasting tools, scenario modelling and competitive intelligence.
- Significant cross‑functional leadership experience guiding sales, marketing, medical, regulatory, pricing and finance to deliver integrated commercial outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks governing pharmaceutical promotion and healthcare‑professional engagement.
