About the Role
The Pricing Manager plays a key role in shaping pricing strategy across our innovation portfolio in Australia and New Zealand. The role is responsible for supporting competitive, compliant, and sustainable pricing outcomes that balance market access objectives with portfolio performance.
Lead pricing activities across ANZ, including pricing strategy, PBS submissions, tender processes, and pricing analysis that informs reimbursement and commercial decision-making. Partner cross-functionally with Market Access, Commercial, Finance, and Regulatory teams to develop pricing models and deliver aligned pricing execution.
This role is suited to an experienced pricing professional who brings strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex pricing and reimbursement frameworks and is motivated to support pricing outcomes that improve patient access to medicines while contributing to our commitment to being Defined by Good.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute pricing strategies for pharmaceutical products in Australia and New Zealand, aligning with PBS reimbursement pathways, competitive benchmarks, and portfolio objectives.
- Maintain strategic pricing models and perform scenario analyses to optimize launch and lifecycle pricing, incorporating PBS rules, tender responsiveness, and risk-sharing agreements.
- Conduct pricing analysis including competitor benchmarking, elasticity assessments, market simulations, and net pricing impacts from regulatory or PBAC changes.
- Prepare and manage PBS and reimbursement submissions, ensuring compliance with PBAC guidelines, PBS Rules, Medicines Australia Code, and company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Market Access, Finance, and Commercial teams to integrate pricing strategies with health economics, reimbursement planning, and product value messaging.
- Provide strategic input to leadership, offering data-driven pricing recommendations, post-approval adjustments, and insights to support market access, profitability, and business growth.
Skills & Experience - 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical pricing, market access, or related roles within ANZ, with proven success across originator and generic portfolios.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement frameworks, including PBS, PBAC, PHARMAC, and tender processes.
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills for scenario analysis, pricing simulations, elasticity assessments, and profitability forecasting.
- Proven experience preparing PBS submissions, PBAC dossiers, pricing offer packages, and risk-sharing agreements for reimbursement approvals.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management, working with Market Access, Finance, Commercial, HEOR, and Regulatory teams to drive aligned outcomes.
- Attention to detail and regulatory/compliance acumen, ensuring audit-ready documentation under PBS Rules, Medicines Australia Code, and government procurement frameworks, with proficiency in reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau.
