About the role:
Arrotex Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant will work collaboratively with the Finance team to deliver our Finance plans and objectives.
The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the month end process ensuring that the month result is reported as per the agree timelines. They will also work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure that the Finance Team adhere to the accounting policies and procedures, preparation of financial assessments, accounting records and other information, allowing senior management to make informed business decisions.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality delivery of the month-end result is completed according to agreed timeframes.
- Ensure the month-end result is accurately reported.
- Ensure all monthly reporting is completed in a timely manner.
- Complete other monthly reporting as required.
- Support, coach and develop other team members in their positions and duties.
- Provide leadership and occasional supervision to team members.
- Support and assign performance-based objectives and KPIs and implement development plans.
- Develop strategies to promote team members' understanding and compliance with company policies, procedures, plans and objectives.
- Set goals and manage individual and team performance against key operational metrics.
- Provide regular feedback and work-in-progress reports to the Manager and other stakeholders.
- Support team professional development and learning opportunities.
- Build strong working relationships with managers and team members based on credibility and open communication.
- Mentor and support team members through training and encouragement of improvement.
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
- Investigate, resolve and adjust variances or errors promptly.
- Ensure audit requests are completed according to agreed timelines.
- Deliver clean audit reporting.
- Assist with developing and aligning financial policies, procedures, systems and processes.
Skills & Experience: - Ability to resolve accounting and finance issues through research and analysis.
- Sufficient knowledge to perform recurring financial duties with a reasonable degree of independence. Command knowledge to be a dependable resource of to the finance team.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement to ensure continuous improvement.
- Show flexibility and able to work with, manage and develop a small, committed team.
- Demonstrated people leadership, supervisory or management skills.
- Ability to form strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Robust technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent / Advanced written, verbal and listening communication skills - produces well thought-out, professional written correspondence free of grammatical and spelling errors; speaks with confidence, clarity and is easily understood
- Demonstrating and articulating knowledge of the relevant customer and industry landscapes and competitive environment
