About The Role
Join DBG Health as a Procurement Specialist on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract where you will focus on a defined product category, managing all Procurement aspects and New Product Development.
Manage your end-to-end category procurement strategy, from bringing the best value to cost on products, selecting the appropriate suppliers to deliver qualitative products at the right margin and full ownership of the prices we pay, and securing the commercial and legal conditions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned to business and brand needs, including NPD and cross-functional roadmaps.
- Lead NPD projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery to cost, quality, and launch timelines.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, driving the best total cost of ownership across commercial and supply chain parameters.
- Own supplier performance management, building strong relationships, and driving continuous improvement.
- Accountable for COGS, identifying value alternatives and cost optimisation opportunities across the portfolio.
- Manage risk, governance, and compliance, ensuring due diligence, accurate data, and proactive risk mitigation.
Skills & Experience - 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role. Ideally, in a fast-paced commercial, retail, or FMCG environment.
- Beauty and/or Cosmetics industry experience is highly regarded.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present, influence, and work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
- End-to-end product development experience, from concept to launch, with solid understanding of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and stage-gate processes.
- Procurement / Category Management background, including supplier evaluation, performance management, and the ability to clearly articulate a structured buying process.
- Highly self-directed and outcomes-focused, able to operate effectively without formal structures and drive work to completion.
- Advanced data capability, with strong Excel skills, experience evaluating commercial data, and exposure to ERPs (e.g. NetSuite) and tools such as Monday.com.
