About The Role
Join DBG Health on a 12-month FTC as a Data Migration Lead! This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end data migration process, ensuring accurate, high-quality, and business-ready data is successfully transitioned into Workday. Partnering closely with business SMEs, Data Governance, system owners, and SI partners, the role oversees data extraction, transformation, loading, validation, reconciliation, defect resolution, and cutover planning to support a successful go-live and ongoing operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data migration planning, governance, and execution across HR and Payroll systems, defining scope, standards, and quality expectations.
- Oversee data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading, ensuring alignment with target data models, business rules, and documentation standards.
- Manage migration schedules, waves, mock loads, and readiness checkpoints, providing clear reporting, dashboards, and risk visibility to program leadership.
- Lead data validation, reconciliation, and defect management to ensure accuracy, completeness, and business readiness at go-live.
- Partner closely with business SMEs, SI partners, and stakeholders to resolve data issues, dependencies, and decision points.
- Support cutover planning and post-go-live stabilisation, ensuring smooth transition and ongoing data integrity.
Skills & Experience - 2+ years' experience in data migration roles, with proven leadership of complex, multi-system migrations, preferably in Workday.
- Strong knowledge of data pipelines, migration tooling, and data validation techniques, with advanced SQL and Excel skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate across business and technical teams, aligning requirements, timelines, risks, and outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience documenting data mappings, migration decisions, defects, and risks with clarity and precision.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities within complex environments.
- Experience working on large-scale transformation or system implementation programs, supported by a tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
