About the role:  

DBG Health is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant. The role involves resolving accounting issues, reconciling consolidation adjustments to the GL, and providing high-level explanations of consolidated balance sheet movements. The successful candidate will collaborate across departments, assist with audit requests, and respond to audit queries in a timely manner.
  
  
Role & Responsibilities: 
  

• Completion of consolidated monthly / quarterly / annual results within agreed timeframe.
• Preparation and maintenance of consolidation adjustments.
• Identifying and resolution of transaction and accounting issues.
• Reconciliation of consolidation adjustments to the GL.
• Providing high-level explanation of consolidated balance sheet movements.
• Manage the accounting of and reporting leases under AASB16.
• Draft monthly letter to our banks under the facility agreement with consolidated information as required.
• Assisting the Finance Manager to compile all data to satisfy audit requests.
• Respond to all audit queries in a timely manner.
• Support and promote collaboration with other departments.

  
  
Skills & Experience: 

• Ability to resolve accounting and finance issues through research and analysis.
• Sufficient knowledge to perform recurring financial duties with a reasonable degree of independence.
• Command knowledge to be a dependable resource to the finance team.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to identify areas for improvement to ensure continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated flexibility and able to work with a small, committed team.
• Ability to form strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
• Robust technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
• Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
