About the role:
Arrotex is seeking a results-driven Specialist Sales Representative who excels at leveraging customer and data insights to inform territory business objectives and guide tactical priorities that support sales growth. You are skilled at building and nurturing strong relationships with healthcare professionals and administrative decision-makers to drive brand awareness, support new product uptake, and secure brand loyalty at the prescriber level.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive working relationships and networks with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and their medical and administrative support staff.
- Execute in-field customer visits based on the territory plan, with efficient journey planning and adherence to call cycle and frequency KPIs, as agreed with management.
- Identify, engage, and mobilise key opinion leaders within the relevant therapeutic area or disease state.
- Increase sales by leveraging customer insights to deliver tailored solutions aligned with both customer and brand objectives.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen, market and scientific knowledge, and the ability to make tactical decisions that drive sales within the territory.
- Prepare and submit the annual resource investment/budget for your territory, and ensure ongoing budget compliance.
- Apply effective planning, time management, record keeping, and resource utilisation across the assigned territory.
- Complete all administrative requirements by required deadlines to support accurate reporting and analysis, including CRM updates such as call objectives, post-call notes, and customer data.
- Discover and understand each customer’s patient management priorities, decision-making drivers, and prescribing behaviour patterns.
- Quantify and analyse patient opportunity for each customer and prioritise brand opportunities based on findings.
- Identify brand promotional and educational opportunities at both state and national levels.
- Collaborate with marketing and medical teams on campaign development, testing, and briefing when required.
- Share field insights and learnings with the marketing team to support best-practice territory planning, goal setting, and campaign execution.
Skills & Experience: - Minimum 2 years of Specialist or Hospital Sales experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Confident negotiation and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive business outcomes.
- Solid understanding of the Australian prescription medicines landscape, including the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), and its relevance to portfolio planning and product strategy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Certification in the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to interpret and communicate medical literature to support scientific exchange and product positioning (desirable).
- Therapeutic knowledge in areas such as dermatology, allergy, or respiratory medicine (desirable).
- Tertiary qualifications in science, pharmacy, nursing, or a related healthcare discipline (desirable).
