Senior Technical Lead - Quality Assurance

About the role:
The Senior Technical Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategies related to technical, quality, and compliance outcomes. This involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party manufacturers and CMOs, to build strong relationships, collaborate to develop robust technical capabilities, and to address complex technical and quality issues that may impact the business or customers. They lead decision-making processes to prevent, resolve or mitigate these issues. The role ensures that Arrotex complies with applicable requirements, maintains quality product supply, and meets project timelines..
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with manufacturers to maintain and optimise product quality and compliance standards, including resolving technical, quality, and compliance issues, managing changes, and leading periodic quality review meetings.
- Drive visibility and cross-functional collaboration to identify, prevent, mitigate, and resolve technical and quality issues with potentially significant business and/or patient impact.
- Lead the review, escalation, and resolution of technical, quality, and compliance risks and issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and close out risk mitigation strategies, including recalls when required.
- Onboard new manufacturers and CMOs into Arrotex’s technical and quality assurance processes, including performing due diligence assessments and executing Quality Agreements.
- Collaborate with the Technology Transfer team to ensure robust quality outcomes for Technology Transfer and Development projects with CMOs.
- Develop, maintain, and report supplier quality performance metrics; proactively make recommendations to address identified signals/trends.
- Mentor stakeholders, including junior team members, to build organisational knowledge of technical requirements, quality risk management, and compliance.
Key Requirements - 5-10 years of experience in a technical, quality, or related compliance-focused role in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related Science or field.
- Practical experience supporting pharmaceutical unit operations, validation and/or technology transfer.
- Proven ability to perform effective risk assessments and manage technical, quality, and compliance issues.
- Proven expertise in interpreting and applying GMP guidance, compliance policies, and risk management principles, providing balanced recommendations to management.
- Ability to manage a high volume of tasks with competing priorities.
- Ability to anticipate challenges and take action to prevent them, ensuring smooth operations.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently or as part of a team, exercising discretion and judgment.
