Data Engineer

About the role:
The Data Engineer’s role is to implement and support infrastructure to aid in the collection and interpretation of business data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build ETL Pipelines
• Convert business requirements into technical solutions using MS Stack –Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, Dynamics
• Prepare, document, and execute test scripts
• Diagnose and resolve errors and problems within the Data Warehouse environment
• Ensure appropriate performance monitoring and benchmarking are set up within the environment.
• Introduce enhancements, bug fixed and changes into the data warehouse.
• Aid in the definition and management of data and dissemination of information within the organization
• Build and manage Devops CI/CD pipelines.
• Managing the relations and expectations of various stakeholders (refer to key relationships/stakeholders list)
• Converting Business needs into developed processes.
• Ability to develop relationships, and navigate with different personality and behavioural preferences

Key Requirements:

• 2-5 years developing SSIS and/or ADF ETL processes.
• 2-5 years developing SQL Server Database applications.
• 2-5 years supporting ETL processes and relational databases.
• Proficiency working with Microsoft products including SQL, Azure, Data Factory, Data lakes.
• Dimensional and Relational data modelling techniques
• Demonstrated ability to understand and prioritise business needs.
• Ability to understand and communicate with various personas.
• Attention to detail – identifying anomalies, inconsistent data points.
• Deductive reasoning, logic, analytical and problem-solving skills.
