Our client are main contractor specialising in commercial and residential builds in Auckland. 
 
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 7+ years experience working on large scale commercial builds.
 
Multi unit apartments, education, light commercial, warehousing and retail experience are all desirable.
 
Ability to lead and run your own project is essential
 

The role:
As a Senior member of the QS team you will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for the company to maximise its gross margin by skilfully preparing and presenting estimates and tenders for projects and development proposals.
You will be administrating projects to ensure they are completed on time, achieve quality and meet budget.


Key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

• Estimating and procurement
• Subcontractor management
• Tender preparation and analysis
• Managing pricing of a tender process
• Ensuring profitable outcomes on jobs across Auckland

Experience needed: 

• Passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated
• Forward thinker and able to take initiative
• Background in Quantity Surveying/Estimating
• The ability to work autonomously 
• Good understanding of the New Zealand construction market
• Experience working on various sized projects
• Excellent communication, both written and spoken as you will be dealing with key stakeholders
