Job Description
Our client is a well-established Auckland residential construction company delivering high-quality new builds, renovations and bespoke residential projects across the wider Auckland market.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of their projects.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys being closely involved with projects, working alongside site teams and project managers, and having a genuine impact on project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Preparing cost estimates, budgets and tender pricing
• Measuring and pricing residential construction works
• Managing subcontractor procurement, pricing and comparisons
• Preparing, monitoring and reporting on project budgets
• Processing progress claims and variations
• Supporting project forecasting and cost reporting
• Working closely with project managers, site teams and subcontractors
• Assisting in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Maintaining strong commercial control across multiple projects
About You
• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within residential construction
• Strong understanding of residential building methodology and project costs
• Experience pricing new builds, renovations or high-end residential projects
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Confident dealing with subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders
• Practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving
• Relevant Quantity Surveying or Construction qualification advantageous
