Project Manager – Roading & Streetscaping

A well-established civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of roading, streetscaping, and urban infrastructure projects across Auckland.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex urban works that have a real impact on how people live, move, and connect in the city.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the successful delivery of projects, ensuring time, cost, safety, and quality targets are met
• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and project engineers
• Plan and schedule resources effectively to keep projects running to programme
• Engage with clients, consultants, councils, and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships
• Identify project risks early and implement practical solutions

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in civil construction, ideally delivering roading, streetscaping, or public realm infrastructure
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
• Solid understanding of project programming, budgeting, and contract management
• Competent with construction management systems and reporting tools
• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or equivalent practical experience
• A proactive, safety-first mindset with a focus on problem-solving and delivery
