Senior Quantity Surveyor – Tauranga
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-respected construction company based in Tauranga. This is a key role within a high-performing commercial team, offering long-term career potential, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on a strong pipeline of local projects.
 
The role will be a contract based role - 15-20 hours per week.
 
Projects: Roading, 3waters

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing all commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account
• Subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and variation management
• Cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management
• Collaborating closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
• Potential to mentor junior team members if desired

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, in Civil  / Infrastructure Projects
• Strong understanding of NZS3910 and local construction processes
• Clear and confident communication skills – written and verbal
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• A team player who can balance commercial rigour with practical site realities
