Passionate about solar and backup systems?
We’re seeking a skilled Electrician with solar experience to join our installation team in East Auckland.
  
You'll be responsible for precise AC cable runs, switchboard integration, and assisting with battery backup installations on residential and small commercial systems.
  
If you enjoy tidy cabling, system integration, and working in the sun, this is for you.
  
  
Key Responsibilities

• Run AC cabling from inverters to switchboards (TPS 2.5/4/6mm, 4mm earth, 4-core for CT meter)
• Install conduit for external and rooftop cable routes
• Terminate solar AC circuits and CT clamps within switchboards
• Apply compliant labelling and follow NZ electrical standards (AS/NZS 3000, 5033, 4777)
• Assist with battery backup setup, including changeover switches and load separation
• Conduct electrical testing (continuity, polarity, insulation, RCDs)

  
  
About You

• NZ Registered Electrician with residential or solar installation experience
• Role will not be full time to begin with so ideal for a contractor
• Confident with switchboard wiring and cable management
• Understanding of PV systems, CT metering, and battery backup circuits
• Strong commitment to electrical safety and tidy workmanship
• Team player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail
