Lynx Recruitment are partnered with a long standing business, seeking an experienced Estimator / QS wanted for a commercial  subcontractor on Auckland’s North Shore.
 
Join a leading subcontractor delivering painting, GIB fixing, and stopping packages on commercial construction projects across Auckland.
 
As an Estimator / QS, you’ll manage end-to-end costing, tender submissions, budget tracking, and financial reporting using Procore software.
 
You'll have high visibility within the business and the autonomy to own your role
 
The role:

• Work closely with the Director in a key commercial role as an Estimator / QS
• Flexible hybrid setup – North Shore office + 1–2 days WFH
• 30 to 40hr work week Contract role with competitive hourly/day rate & potential for extension

 
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates, BOQs, and subcontractor pricing
• Submit and manage tenders for commercial interior finishing projects
• Track project costs, variations, and final accounts through Procore
• Draft and manage subcontractor agreements and scopes
• Liaise with site teams and clients for commercial reporting

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years' experience in estimating and/or quantity surveying
• Solid knowledge of interior trades: painting, GIB, stopping
• Procore experience (required), strong Excel & measurement tool skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
• NZ working rights and relevant construction qualification
