About the location
Emerald is the largest town in the Central Queensland Highlands and is an ideal central base for exploring the region. Emerald is renowned for its significant sapphire and gem fields and agricultural and cattle farming industries. Additionally, it is home to the well-known Fairbairn Dam and the Emerald Botanic Gardens, which boast picturesque scenery and provide a variety of outdoor activities.
