Things to do
There are many things to see and do in Port Lincoln, making it an ideal place to spend a few days.
Are you a wine lover? Port Lincoln has three wineries, and you might want to check them out. In Port Lincoln, Boston Bay Wines is the closest vineyard to the sea, Lincoln Estate Wines is produced by the same family that runs Glen Forest Tourist Park, and Peter Teakle Wines is available throughout the town.
You can also visit Lincoln National Park facing the calmer waters of Boston Bay. The location is ideal for hiking and other recreational activities.
How to get there
It takes around 7-hours of driving from Adelaide with little stopping along the way, but driving in one day can be exhausting.
It is recommended to drive from Adelaide to Port Augusta and stay overnight, then drive to Port Lincoln the next day to give yourself more time to rest. If you are driving from Streaky Bay, it will only take 3-hours to arrive in Port Augusta without any stops.
Another option is flying from Adelaide to Port Lincoln, which will only take 50-minutes.
