Role: General Practice with ED / VMO
Dates: ASAP - 24th December
Duration: 4-week Minimum commitment
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0800 am – 1630 pm, with an hour for lunch.
After Hours / on-call: 24hr Emergency on-call, VMO, Nursing home visits
Consult Time / Patient Load: 15-minute consults, with the expectation for locums to see approximately 22 patients per day.
Patient Demographic: Rural population, aged, family, and predominately Caucasian.
Billing: Mixed Billing Practice where 40% of patients are privately billed.
Software: Genie
Staff: You will be supported by a friendly and experienced team 1 full-time female GP and 1 RN (part-time), 1 PM, and 2 Receptionists (part-time). Visiting allied health is also included, as well as Physio, Osteopath, Podiatrist, OT, Phycologist, and Dietitian (all part-time).
Pay: $1,500 flat rate per day + GST for GP Clinic, $1,800 flat rate per day + GST for emergency on-call
Provisions: Mileage is reimbursed at an ATO rate of .88c per km, and accommodation is provided
Reason for vacancy: Need a locum doctor until the practice recruits a permanent doctor
