Adventure awaits a GPO Locum in Derby, a historic outback town settled at the edge of the King Sound near the mouth of the mighty Fitzroy River.

Duration: 2-4 weeks Minimum
Hours: Roster TBC
After Hours / on-call: 24hrs on-call when rostered.
Pay: $3,000 per day
Provisions: Flights or mileage, accommodation and hire / fleet car provided.

About the location
Home to the Warrwa people, Derby is a historic outback town at the edge of the King Sound near the mouth of the mighty Fitzroy River. It is the western gateway to outback adventure along Gibb River Road.

There is an incredible overabundance of natural attractions in Derby, making it a worthwhile visit. It has the highest tidal range of any port in Australia. The historic Gaol, Norval Gallery and the infamous Boab Prison Tree are nearby.

In Western Australia, Derby provides the possible start or endpoint for the epic Gibb River Road road trip and all its associated off-road 4WD adventures.

Flights are available from all major Australian cities via Darwin, Broome and Perth. Derby is about a 2hr 20-minute drive from Broome.
