Patient Demographic: In the 2016 Census, there were 79,726 people in Rockhampton (R). Of these 49.4% were male and 50.6% were female. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people made up 7.4% of the population.

Flights from Brisbane to Rockhampton are just under one hour, with Qantas and Virgin operating multiple direct flights daily. Qantas operates twice daily flights from Cairns, stopping in both Townsville and Mackay.
