About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an inspiring leader to step into a hands-on General Manager role at a vibrant and high performing tourism and retail destination located in the heart of the Central Plateau. Overseeing a team, this fantastic role will provide leadership and management of a dynamic customer focused business with strong local values and national reach.
  
Responsibilities include –

• Develop, lead and implement strategies to drive continued business growth.
• Foster and nurture a motivated and engaged team through collaboration, accountability, staff development and continuous improvement.
• Lead and champion exceptional customer experience and supplier relationships.
• Oversee the daily operations of sales, finance, administration and compliance.
• Involvement in sustainability and local industry and community initiatives.

Skills and Experience Required

• A minimum of five years of proven experience working within NZ retail or hospitality.
• A minimum of three years of leadership experience.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven success growing businesses.
• Proven success in developing a positive team culture.
• A deep understanding of customer experience, product presentation and sales conversion.
• Strong relationship management, compliance and hands-on operational experience.

You’re a hands-on leader with strong verbal and written communication skills, have a drive for success and your organisational skills allow you to thrive in a fast-paced customer centric environment.
