What You'll Do Group Function: The Mastered Data Product team drives data excellence by aggregating and normalizing financial product domain data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and trust for the Bank's most critical use cases.
Job Profile Summary: The Mastered Data Product Owner serves as the voice of the customer and business, translating strategic goals into actionable user stories and prioritizing the product backlog to maximize value delivery. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, clarity, and continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle.
General Function: Responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the development of the snowflake Loan Mastered Data Product that meets the needs of stakeholders. Will support the implementation of product roadmap deliverables, capabilities, and adoption, leading a robust prioritization process to maximize value, risk mitigation, and business benefits. Advocates for SAFe methodologies and ensures team backlog alignment with customer and stakeholder needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Define and prioritize work across technical and business domains to deliver a high-impact Mastered Data Product for Loans & Leases.
- Translate enterprise data quality and regulatory needs into actionable user stories and epics, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and execution.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, estimated, and sequenced to maximize business value and technical feasibility.
- Facilitate backlog refinement and sprint planning, ensuring clarity and readiness of work items across both technical and business-focused streams.
- Champion data governance and quality standards, embedding controls and lineage into product design and delivery.
- Serve as the voice of the customer and business, representing regulatory, reporting, and operational needs in product decisions.
- Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Support squad enablement and agile maturity, coaching team members on agile practices and product thinking.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required: - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience. · 4+ years of related experience. · Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) nice to have. · Product management background preferred; ability to interact and influence within the organization. · Experience and understanding of non-relational & relational databases, Snowflake and DBT · Ability to consult and articulate key messages to all levels within the organization. · Basic business acumen and understanding of business processes related to products and customers. · Experience working in Agile or SAFe development. · Ability to promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking and innovation. · Collaborative with strong intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving. · Good analytical skills with ability to present well-thought-out, simple solutions. · Self-motivated and able to work independently and with different teams in a fast-paced environment. · Ability to bridge the gap between product and technical teams, processes and concepts.
