Job Title: Technical Product Owner – Domain Services III
Location: Cincinnati, OH – Downtown (Hybrid Onsite)

About the Role We’re seeking a Technical Product Owner to lead initiatives within the Domain Services team supporting enterprise-scale middleware and API integration platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with a solid technical foundation in event-driven architectures, APIs, and data integration. You’ll collaborate across engineering, architecture, and business teams to deliver capabilities that enhance enterprise connectivity, improve efficiency, and enable secure and scalable data sharing across the bank’s core systems.

Top Skills Must Have

• Proven ability to write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries (Banking, Financial Services, or Healthcare).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong technical background and ability to engage with engineering teams.
• Working knowledge of APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and data flows.

Nice to Have

• Banking industry experience or familiarity with enterprise-scale domain services.
• Understanding of middleware technologies such as Kafka, MuleSoft, or IBM Integration Bus.
• Experience with architecture documentation and data modeling concepts.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with engineering and business partners to translate market and business needs into prioritized product backlogs.
• Lead the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from concept and requirements definition through development, testing, and deployment.
• Create and refine epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
• Partner closely with technical teams to define APIs, events, and data contracts ensuring seamless system integration.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement in backlog prioritization, delivery velocity, and stakeholder alignment.
• Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring that all deliverables align with business value and compliance requirements.
• Maintain a deep understanding of domain services and middleware ecosystems, ensuring solutions are scalable and secure.
• Mentor junior product owners and collaborate with architects on cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or Business Analyst supporting software development.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile and SAFe frameworks.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and event-driven data systems.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile lifecycle tools.
