nJob Title: Data Quality Assurance Analyst III
Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite)
Overview Strategic Data Systems is partnering with a National Banking Client to identify an experienced Data Quality Assurance Analyst III who is passionate about ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness across enterprise financial domains. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be highly collaborative, and possess the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives within a fast-paced, Agile environment.
This role resides within the Mastered Data Product Team, which serves as the foundation for the bank’s data excellence initiatives. The team’s mission is to aggregate, normalize, and ensure the reliability of mastered financial product data—empowering analytics, regulatory reporting, and operational decision-making across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive data quality assessments to detect anomalies and inconsistencies across mastered financial domains (deposits, loans, and leases).
- Develop and maintain data validation rules, decision logic, and completeness controls to align data with regulatory and business standards.
- Collaborate with data governance, engineering, and product teams to ensure data definitions, lineage, and usage remain consistent across systems.
- Utilize SQL and Snowflake to validate datasets, identify data integrity gaps, and support ad-hoc reporting and reconciliation requests.
- Support the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and KPIs for ongoing quality monitoring.
- Leverage automation and data tools to streamline repetitive validation and remediation workflows.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technical tasks, supporting Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog grooming.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality frameworks and documentation standards.
Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in data quality, governance, or data management (preferably within banking or financial services).
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (Snowflake preferred).
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to investigate and resolve complex data issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively across technical and business teams.
- High degree of accountability, self-motivation, and curiosity for improving data processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred: - Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Power BI, and Excel for data validation and visualization.
- Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies; certification a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile or SAFe frameworks.
- Working knowledge of financial domain data (Deposits, Loans, or Leases).
