What You’ll Do The IT Governance Specialist I will play a key role in supporting the bank’s governance and compliance framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will work closely with Information Security, Risk, and Technology teams to help administer governance processes, maintain policy documentation, and produce reporting that ensures adherence to standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and administration of governance programs, methodologies, and processes.
- Assist with creating and maintaining governance artifacts such as policies, standards, procedures, and reporting templates.
- Develop and deliver communications, presentations, and training to promote governance awareness.
- Support governance audits, testing, and reporting activities to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Provide oversight for recurring governance metric processes and perform data analysis to identify trends and risks.
- Participate in cross-squad initiatives and provide governance support for product-related work.
- Identify opportunities for program efficiencies and automation.
- Build proficiency with governance tools and support the adoption of data quality frameworks.
Qualifications - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
- Experience in MS Excel, MS Office Suite, and report development.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and ability to learn governance frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
