Group Summary The Data Assurance group builds and maintains
enterprise-level mastered data products by financial statement caption that serve as trusted sources of truth for the organization. By centralizing, validating, and ensuring complete datasets, the team provides accurate, consistent, and accessible data for business, financial, and regulatory purposes.
Through rigorous quality assessments, proactive issue resolution, and collaboration with upstream data owners, the group addresses root causes of data errors and helps design effective controls. In partnership with business, finance, and data engineering teams, the group modernizes processes, promotes transparency, and ensures data is understood and appropriately used.
By developing robust quality metrics and operating within regulatory and risk frameworks, the team drives continuous improvement, accountability, and confident decision-making across the enterprise.
Job Summary The
Data Assurance Analyst III plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of mastered data. This individual contributes by performing routine quality assessments, identifying anomalies, and supporting resolution efforts while ensuring alignment with business and reporting needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Data Strategy & Governance
- Define and implement data logic and decision rules for assigned domains
- Maintain and enhance business glossaries and metadata repositories
- Data Quality & Reconciliation
- Lead reconciliation efforts for financial domains (deposits, loans, etc.)
- Design and implement control points and quality checks
- Business Partnership & Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams
- Support regulatory and audit responses with accurate data documentation
- Process Modernization & Enablement
- Develop dashboards to track KPIs, anomalies, and issue resolution
- Recommend improvements to data tools, workflows, and automation
- Operating Rhythms & Knowledge Base
- Lead Agile stories and contribute to backlog grooming
- Identify business factors (internal/external) impacting data quality
- Leverage technology to streamline assessments and automate processes
