About the Role
A National Bank is seeking a seasoned Finance Data Analyst & Application Support Engineer to lead application support and financial systems operations. This senior-level role requires deep expertise in ACH processing, CICS, and PEP+ functionality, combined with strong leadership skills to mentor staff, manage escalations, and ensure seamless business-critical application performance.
You will serve as both a technical expert and team leader, driving root cause analysis, ensuring adherence to SLAs, and leading system improvements that directly impact the bank’s financial operations.

Key Responsibilities - Provide leadership and direction to the Application Support team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to SLAs.
- Oversee the implementation, integration, and support of financial applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Lead the incident and problem management process, serving as the final point of escalation and driving structured root cause analysis.
- Develop and enforce Application Support standards, documentation, and procedures, ensuring consistency and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, proactively identifying trends, error conditions, and opportunities for permanent fixes.
- Collaborate with business users and support staff to resolve complex issues involving financial and custom applications.
- Manage strategic planning for application upgrades, releases, and migrations, ensuring business continuity.
- Mentor, train, and onboard new staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
- Produce clear and comprehensive reports and technical documentation for executive and business stakeholders.
Qualifications - Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and ensuring delivery of high-quality user support.
- Strong background in ACH, CICS, and PEP+ systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform structured root cause analysis.
- Strong communication, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Significant experience ensuring delivery of mission-critical financial applications in a high-demand environment.
