The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Parts Interpreter to join our Brooklyn team. If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, thrives on customer interaction, and takes pride in getting the right part to the right person at the right time, we'd love to hear from you.
This is more than a parts role. You'll be a critical link between customers, suppliers, and our workshop team, helping reduce downtime and ensuring our trailers and transport equipment remain on the road where they belong.
What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the Freighter Group team, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting workshop operations and delivering exceptional service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Interpreting and identifying parts requirements for technicians, fleet operators, and customers
- Identifying vehicle makes, models, and part variations using our advanced systems and catalogues
- Sourcing parts through internal inventory and external supplier networks
- Managing inventory and workshop stock levels to ensure parts availability
- Processing sales, preparing invoices, and managing stock movement
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing parts orders with efficiency and accuracy
- Supporting regular stocktakes and handling returns in line with company policy
- Keeping customers and internal teams informed on product availability and delivery timelines
- Building relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Coordinating parts deliveries and ensuring supply to support workshop
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and compliant work environment
- Contributing to a team culture that values safety, collaboration, and customer-first thinking
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who combines technical knowledge with a genuine passion for customer service.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter within heavy vehicles, transport, trailers, agricultural, automotive, or related industries
- Strong product knowledge and the ability to accurately identify parts and components
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience working with inventory management systems
- A current Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
